Puddles

With the drought early in the year, we didn't have a chance to do any puddle stomping until recently. Since the rain started to come, we have taken advantage of each storm and have spent much time in rain boots and jackets, enjoying the puddles. 

Both boots and rain jacket were gifts from Grandma Y. I love his plaid jacket and his boots have been put to great use, both in the puddles and here at the barn.

Picking 'pine cones' to float in the puddle...

Oliver loves to run around and around through the 'big puddle' and to collect rocks, pine cones and sticks to throw into the water.

We are so thankful for the rain that we have received late this winter and spring! It is good to see green in the fields and smell the freshness after the rain. I love to spend time watching my little guy play in the puddles. It is amazing how each new thing can bring so much joy!
