Even though we live near the coast, we don't make it out to the beach very often and rarely do we make it out in the morning. Mornings are often the most pleasant part of the day at the coast. The wind comes up in the afternoon, while the morning is still and quiet. One Saturday morning, this past month, we took advantage of the beautiful day and made our way out to the beach. We picked up coffee and hot chocolate at our favorite hole-in-the-wall (quite literally) coffee shop and headed to our favorite beach.

We first walked a short trail through the bay area of the beach and through some bird watching areas. We had to take a picture of this funny table! We talked for a bit about the possible reasons as to how it got so tall. Did it get pushed up out of the sand or did the sand wear away? Or did they just build it like that for fun...
After the short walk, we enjoyed some time relaxing and playing on the beach.
