Eclipse

Our first morning in Canada was the morning of the solar eclipse. We had no glasses with which to watch, so Jordan built a pin hole box with the kids in order to watch the eclipse safely. I am sure it wasn't as grand as it would have been with glasses, but it was really neat to do a project like this with the kids. We could look through the viewing hole and see a tiny projection of the sun gradually being covered. Being in Canada, we only had a partial eclipse, but the effect was still quite dramatic, with the temperature dropping and the day growing quite dim.
